Re: MikroMir 1/48 Yak-18 Max

Very nice Cherrylock! I once made its big brother, the Yak-11 in Austrian colours. But it is not as nice as yours, you really made that monochrome scheme come alive.

Re: ICM Polikarpov I-5 late

The jig did the trick, after the centre struts where solid (1 day dry, then extra gators grip) I did the outboard struts, gear and tail in one go. Everything is in place and touched up. But now for the truly difficult part, the rigging. I have done it before, so I know what to do. But there is a rea...

Re: French 75

The French 75 is an important but often overlooked piece of history, nice to see one modelled.

Re: ICM Polikarpov I-5 late

Work continues on the Polikarpov. The wings are very fiddly. I have made an I-5 before (in 2012!) and made a cardboard jig (is that the right word?). Fortunately, I am a bit of a hoarder according to my wife and I saved that jig. And it still works like it should. https://i.postimg.cc/1XcGSpky/IMG-0...

Both are painted so that was an easy match.
Ahhh, but how can we be certain they matched in real life? :hmm:  :headslap:
That will forever be shrouded in mystery

Anyway, thanks for the nice comments!

Re: Bandai 1/144 Gundam Barbados

Cool stuff, I like Gundams! The kits are often very good, multicolor, good fit etc. Bandai really does some magic there.

Classic Airframes outsources its production to other companies like Sword and Special Hobby. So I think it is the same mold.

Re: Empire of the Rising Sun Group Build

I love all the marking masking that you're doing on this! What made you do the prop shaft out of metal? Where are you going with that? Thanks Carlos. Regarding the brass rod... Haseagwa's engine mounting design was not good. Needed to figure out how to get the engine centered with cowl and perpendi...
