I decided a bit more blending was in order so very early this morning I misted some heavily thinned RLM 02 on there, and here is the result. The modulation and depth is exactly where I want it.

The RLM 02 on the starboard side wing might be done, I think. But I have been fooled before. I’ll give the paint overnight to setup and see how it looks in the sunlight. If another blend coat or two is needed I’ll shoot that tomorrow. Meanwhile, it was a good day of painting! https://i.postimg.cc/63...

I am 110% with you. Tamiya supplies masks, but you gotta cut them out yourself. I always screw it up and end up spending time fixing them
