I had a reasonably productive weekend, Whilst working on some of the bits for the Airfix kit I got a coat of primer and two coats of the lighter grey on the CJ.

I've also since added the first coat of Dark Ghost Grey.

Cheers!

Looks really smooth!
March as one, Don't look back
Odin's sons... Attack!
Unleash hell! Do not repent! Warfare grants us no lament
Let your weapons slash and tear This is no place for fear
Hold the lines! Move as one! In unity our victory's won
Our shields will form a mighty wall
United we shall never fall

Looks good Stuart! BTW, CJs have worn the later two color scheme for most of the service life. Just Gunship Gray over Neutral Gray. They ditched the Light Ghost Gray in the 90s.

Thanks Carlos - yep, that's pretty much the scheme I'm going for. I noticed a while back that the Tamiya kit schemes incorrectly use the tri-colour camo - even for the bird I'm doing which dates to 2011 - I had to do a fair bit of research into the colours of both my vipers before I started painting as call outs in both kits where wrong and clashed with each other.

That's a really useful photo though - it would seem that the fuel tanks are still Light Ghost Grey.

Current state of the paint work - needs a few touch-ups, rub-downs and coats in various places.

It's coming along though - pretty pleased with it.

Cheers!
