Possible subject: a yellow tailed Polikarpov I-153

Yellow Nose, Green Nose, Blue Nose, Red tails, Yellow Tails Checkered Nose, etc...

Basically, any Allied aircraft during WW2 that sported any type of Colored or Checkered Noses and/or Tails.

Very nice! You do really neat work!

I made the mould for the resin cast. I made an error with the seat so that broke when I got it out of the mould. I have cut some of the rubber away to stop that from reaccuring. The rest went pretty smooth. Next up is to cast some copies. I need multiple seat for different Polikarpov’s and eight exhaust stubs so therefore I need to cast this at least for times. I hope the exhausts really stay hollow.

Everything worked like a charm ! The resin seat came out of the mould unharmed and the exhaust pipes are indeed hollow. I have made a second mould for the exhausts so I can cast everything I need in four sessions.

I started construction: the cockpit. Everything is ready for primer and painting.

The more I look at this aircraft, the more it looks like a Gee Bee on steroids. I just love those little
Polikarpov I-153. I need to get myself those Polikarpov aircraft kits.
