Cyber Hobby 1/32 BF109E-3 (Herman inspired) Finished 7-1-21

Post by Handiabled »

Hey Everyone....... Fellow forum members from long ago remember my buddy Herman on Luftwaffe builds. Well truth be known in light of some pretty shattering events I have found myself rattling around my house at 3 am with too much on my mind and not enough to do in my hands. Sometimes it's the little things that help a person through hard times, like connecting with a long ago friend, or a little plastic guy on your work bench. Not wanting my posts to go like a bad soap opera, the long and short of it is through a series of unrelated events, we found out my wife has Leukemia..... What we know now vs over 2 weeks ago is a very different as far as prognosis but we are still taking it a day at a time. Chemo treatment could go on for several months... so to keep my head in a different place my inspiring friend Herman (the little plastic soldier from early 1970's) is on the job again. We hope to drag this across the finish line by the end of the GB. Sounds like he wants to throw a few extras in this as well with Eduard, Airscale and HGW add-ons.

Hopefully more to come soon. I am grateful to be in a GB with such talented builders here

(Herman says ja, ich auch)

Herman has slipped from my memory. But I look forward to getting to know him here now. :hmm:

Herman is probably not Swiss, and I hope I have not offended him!

I love it... the photographer for our IPMS Chapter has a drunkard figure that he will slip into photos with the various builds on display at each meeting... kinda funny to see with some... he fits in perfect with others.

Hello All. As life here is trying to settle into a temporary new "normal", there has been some progress made on this build. The office is slowly starting to take shape. The ip is close along with the gun site. The rest of the pit is getting some color and weathering/wear. Hope to be getting back with more soon!

As always, Thanks for lookin!
