Tamiya 1/72 Aichi Seiran

Post by BorgR3mc0 »

I just started this one. I was looking for something to build after a long hiatus. So I thought a Tamiya kit would be just the ticket for an easy build.

It all looks great in the box, I hope it builds just as well as it looks.

Neat-o. I really like the looks of that.

It’s Tamiya. It won’t be difficult to build, poor fitting, or awkwardly engineered.

Great choice Borg !

The Seiran is a really beautiful seaplane, it is definitely in my Top-3 of all the seaplanes!

I did my first airbrush session in months. Just a black base, using my Badger 350. I used mr Surfacer 1500 black.

Way to go! I've been having some difficulty with my airbrushes lately. Glad to see your model coming along.

A big update, I haven’t posted all my steps in the build process.
The Tamiya quality is definitely there, nice fit, good details.

First a layer of XF-22, then a wash, some detail painting. And lastly a few decals.

A very nice looking pit!
March as one, Don't look back
Odin's sons... Attack!
Unleash hell! Do not repent! Warfare grants us no lament
Let your weapons slash and tear This is no place for fear
Hold the lines! Move as one! In unity our victory's won
Our shields will form a mighty wall
United we shall never fall
