I applied a glosscoat to the top side yesterday using Vallejo's acrylic gloss. Dunno what it is about acrylic glosses but it was fairly difficult for me to apply (probably because I thinned it down too much ) and it puddled in a few areas on the starboard wing. Gimme some lacquer based clear and I can work wonders with it. This stuff is like me trying to speak a foreign language. :headslap: Anyhow.... I sanded the irregularities out of the gloss, touched up some paint where I burned through in the sanding process and re-applied the gloss this morning. Cals are upcoming next....

You are absolutely nailing this 262 Joe, I love the way the mottle turned out both times. The truck project looks like it hauls the mail now! Nice!

Wow, I also have issues with acrylic gloss clears. Despite that, you're doing an exceptionally masterful job on this bird.

What’s your usual gloss clear, and why didn’t you use it here?
