Oh man that fireplace is stupendous! Way to go! I'm also glad you're there for Survival Flight.

Nice insight into the home situation! Living in SoCal, it's easy to forget that the rest of the country has WEATHER!

Re: Flanker Madness
Agreed! Here in SoCal we only have three seasons: Christmas and Fire.

Yup...we get it all!jkim wrote:Nice insight into the home situation! Living in SoCal, it's easy to forget that the rest of the country has WEATHER!
A few years back, early in the work season...I started the day bundled up. We had wind, snow and ice, that gave way to rain and hail...ended the day with calm, sun and stripped down to shorts and got my 1st sun burn of the year!
Re: Flanker Madness
Finally got the big'n painted.
This Hataka paint needs to be thinned way down to spray with any kind of decency. I love it...for small jobs. It SUCKS for big jobs, such as this. Takes FOREVER to get coverage.
If I were a bettin' man, I'd bet a nickel I've got at least 12 hours in the painting alone (including the pre-shading).

Re: Flanker Madness
Sounds like it’s a good paint for hand brushing with that sort of viscosity.

For the little that I have used it with a brush...so far, so good.
Re: Flanker Madness
That's a lot of acreage to cover with paint! It may have been difficult but the result looks great!
