Those engine nacelles are big enough to where you could put a little electric motor in there to make ‘em spin!

Re: Keavdogs V-22 Osprey
You certainly could put little motors in there. It would generate a ton of lift though!
Thanks,
John

Yeah, that is one big bird. My 1/72 scale one sure took a lot of shelf space; I can imagine a 1/48 scale one taking up a lot more!
I saw someone do that once! I think it was at a Nationals and he had them slowly spinning while sitting on a diorama base with troops loading injured inside while others unloaded supplies.Stikpusher wrote:Those engine nacelles are big enough to where you could put a little electric motor in there to make ‘em spin!

I can see Dave Fredericks doing that to an Osprey. He is the guy for that sort of thing!

Re: Keavdogs V-22 Osprey
Test fitting the nacelles - this thing is huge!
There's a collar on the inside of the nacelle that glues on which holds onto the shaft coming off the wing. While test fitting the starbord nacelle the collar came loose.....hence the tape. I don't want to pull apart the nacelle so I'll have do be creative when it comes time to attach permanently.
