1/48 Tamiya Dornier Do335A

Post by Floki »

This was a great gift from Bruce and a great kit to build.
I built it for the Tamiya shake & bake GB but figured I would post it in the completed section too

Carlos, John and Mike Thank you all! This was a wonderful kit and I'm sad to say it's finished I had so much fun working on it. I'm going to have to pick up the two seater version to build now.

Very nice rendition of a NMF Pfeil! What a beast of an aircraft!

Beautiful work. I love it.
I'm curious about your camera setup. Im keen to film my 163 build but im struggling to get good angles without getting in the way of the camera.

Mike thank you. I've been toying around trying different ways. I had bought a swivel mount that attaches to my desk to try to film from above. But I found it kept getting in my way or the top of my head was in the shot. I moved that over to my paint booth and it works good there. The best way I found is to have the camera on it's tripod sitting to my left (since I'm right handed) at a bit lower than head level and zoom it in or out depending on how big the part I'm working on. But the biggest thing is to remember the camera is there and try your best not to block what you are working on.

Good ideas. Ive been trying to film over my shoulder and it has NOT been working lol. Ive got a couple kits to keep practicing on. Hopefully i can get something usable so i can start on the Komet.
