McDonnell Douglas F/A-18A Hornet Blue Angels, Hasegawa, 1/72

Post by Bolleken »

Here are some pictures of my lately finished F-18 Hornet by Hasegawa in 1/72. It is colored as a Blue Angels Hornet. Blue Angels Blue is self-mixed by using different Gunze Mr. Hobby blues and white.

Hope you like it.

Lovely work!

That turned out beautifully! You did an excellent job on the colors! :shoutout:

Brilliant work! Looks like you're spot on with the color!

Thank you all for your nice words. I like how you guys treat each other with respect.

Back to the Blue Angels. I mixed enough for 2 Testors bottles and I have got a Blue Angels Phantom and a Skyhawks on stock. Don't know if they changed the blue during the years.

I’m fairly certain that the blue has been the same color for the entire timespan that the Blues have been in existence since shortly after WWII.
