Italeri Bell 212 1/72nd

Post by Bish »

Finished this British Army bell 212 a couple of weeks back. Its an Italeri kit from the 90's, but i have updated the kit and colours based on photo's of this aircraft on 7 Flight AAC FB page from 2019. It was based out in Brunie where the British army has a jungle warfare training based. But i have recently found out that its now at Middle Wallop where its used to train pilots.

I added an eduard PE set and decals are a mix or kit and spares box, the latter mainly around the windows. I used hataka paints for the green/grey scheme and tamiya for the rest.

Man, that is great looking.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Looks good Bish! Almost the same our UH-1N. What is the item on the tip of the nose? Is it a radar or a FLIR mount?

Thanks guys.

Carlos, this is the Augusta built verion of the UH-1N, the Italeri kit is sold under that designation and you can build a US and Austrian versions as well as British.

Thats a good question, and i have no idea. I can't find any referance to it and it does seem unique to the British version.

That is fantastic Martin! I love it. I need to get me one and make it British.
