Academy 1/35 M151A1

Post by Stikpusher »

I’m feeling the modeling urge flow again to start a new “quick” build to knock out before the year ends, so I started this little one on Saturday evening.

After two hours I had the engine, suspension/drivetrain, and most of the main basic assembly completed

I should have construction done in a few more days then be on to painting immediately after that...

Cool! Glad to hear your mojo is back. I built a little 1/35 Italeri commando car. Little willys prickling with guns and gear. Fun project and I have inadvertently recently acquired a 1/35 Willis kit again. Along with that somewhere I think I have a 1/48 Verlinden resin kit. So interested to see where you go with this.
Thanks,
John

Looks like a fun build Carlos.
March as one, Don't look back
Odin's sons... Attack!
Unleash hell! Do not repent! Warfare grants us no lament
Let your weapons slash and tear This is no place for fear
Hold the lines! Move as one! In unity our victory's won
Our shields will form a mighty wall
United we shall never fall

It’s good to feel the mojo flowing again. Since this is slated to be a quick build done in short order, the build itself will be OOB, and the fun will be in the painting work. And yeah, you gotta love jeeps in all of their forms.

So far, it is indeed.

Stay tuned for more in the next few days guys!

What a cool subject Carlos - what's the scheme you're going for?

lol! Well yes, or how about a bit of... MERDC! (well okay, maybe not for a mojo builder - but cool!)

Actually, since the A1 version was replaced by the A2 from the late 60’s on, I was wanting to go with the camo scheme only used in Europe until MERDC came along, MASSTER, aka 7th Army. It reminds me of the WWII German three color camo, but with black added as well.
