The Duke Finishes Two in April

Post by Duke Maddog »

I was hoping to get more done, but work and a cold got in the way. Given that, I was able to finish off these two ACE kits. They aren't the best, and are rather crude since they are first run ACE kits, but they are complete.

First is the ACE 1/72 scale BRDM AT-1 Snapper anti tank vehicle I built for a Group Build on another Forums. It was the "Goodbye 2020! Leaving you in the dust" Group Build. I finished it up a couple days ago:

This next one is the ACE 1/72 scale Opel Olympia staff car. I thought I would do it in a different scheme so I chose the captured US one. Later I noticed that I had already done a captured US one! Fortunately, the other one had the roof up; this one has it down:

That's all for this month. Hopefully I'll be able to bring the other models that are close to finishing across the finish line next month.

My apologies for the crude pics. Thanks all for looking in, comments are welcome.

The look good Mark! Of course you know that I really like that BRDM-1. As far as the captured Opel goes, it’s kinda hard to keep track of markings options when you have hundreds upon hundreds of completed builds. :hmm:

Two good looking builds Mark!
March as one, Don't look back
Odin's sons... Attack!
Unleash hell! Do not repent! Warfare grants us no lament
Let your weapons slash and tear This is no place for fear
Hold the lines! Move as one! In unity our victory's won
Our shields will form a mighty wall
United we shall never fall

Looking good, Mark.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Thank you Carlos! yeah, someone else called the BRDM a "sports car' of armored cars. It does kind of look like it could easily pull a wheelie while peeling out... :giggles: I should try to get a shot of all my BRDM vehicles with anti-tank missiles in one. And you are right, it is pretty tough trying to remember what I built before.... :headslap:

Medic, Clint and Lyle, thank you guys! I'm glad to see your responses.
