1/350 Pitroad JMSDF Yushio

Post by Scruffy »

One of the kits I managed to finish this year, the 1/350 Pitroad Yushio, Very nice kit, went together really nicely. Painted with a witches brew of Tamiya, Humbrol, and Gunze paints,

Cool. So, how big is that rascal?
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Very nice. I really like the placard - how did you do that? Been ages since I built a sub.
Thanks,

Really, really simply! The base board is (somewhat appropriately) Cherry that I routed an edge on and then polyurethaned. The placard is simply from the header of the painting guide in the kit, which was printed on nice glossy stock. I simply cut it out and affixed it to a piece of .015 sheet with double sided tape and used a Sharpie to blend the edges of the plastic sheet!
