That's a nice choice! But that boxart is cheesy as hell.

The box art might look cheesy, but it is something that actually happened...

Re: Revell 1/32 P-51B Mustang "Berlin Express"
The last couple days I haven't hit the bench - especially that day the Capital Buildng got breached. I was too disturbed at the events in DC to even try to build. Anyhow, this past Monday, I spent the good part of my evening test fitting parts and worked on the engine somewhat.
First the engine. Most likely I'm not even going to bother painting the whole thing since it's going to be hidden from view.
Test fit the fuselage halves together with cowl.
Separate cowl. This will not be removable. Planning in gluing it down. I'm not sure if there will be gaps or not but it will be addressed if any do show up.
Wings surfaces looks good.
I am debating whether or not to buy aftermarket metal gun barrels for this. I only see one set but not sure if they're the correct ones or not.
These are the gun barrels I'm looking to get....

Wheels.... yuck. I know they're going to be too fat and toy-like when glued together. So aftermarket wheels will be ordered.
Interior side panels and instrument panel. I am debating whether or not I want to get Eduard's PE cockpit detail set
Foot control pedals will need to be trimmed of flash...
The pilot.... absolutely not! It looks too out of proportion and lacks any realism. So a no go on the pilot
I'm hoping to start slinging on some primer and paint on the cockpit pieces this weekend.

Looks like the kit may be a bit challenging, but it's a great subject.
Thanks,
