Go.

I do a search for a photo etched one. They are finer than frogs hair and sharp as all get out.

I have two types, one for large work

and some small ones that fit into a x-acto handle for small jobs

I think that I bought the small ones originally to do zimmerit on German armor before Tamiya came out with their zimmerit tools. I had the larger one for over 30 years now.

Tamiya PE saws are fairly cheap on Amazon. One saw usually last me two to three builds. Also have one of them cmk razor saws that is really nice.

This is the best one I have found. Micro Mark and others have copied it but I've been using it for years now and it is excellent. I use it for balsa wood as much or more than plastic. The kerf is so slight that it easy to cut parts to exact length.

Than you folks. UMM-USA popped into my head last night. I’ll check on the other options.

You need two saws. 1 should be for block separation of resin. ZONA is my favorite. Cheap as chips and made in USA. Ultra thin version with higher TPI has served me faithfully, lo many years.

Second should be for cutting plastic and small resin block separation. CMK is my favorite. This saw allows you to make small, precise cuts in soft plastic and resin.

For me, handles are important. Both of my suggestions feature solid wood handles which are an absolute necessity to keep a good grip.

Thanks, Bruce. I just bought a Zona w/4 blades a few days ago. It will have its uses. Ordered a similar saw to the CMK from UMM-USA today. I will also check out the excel items. I have a couple of X-Acto saws, already.

Good choices Lyle. I expect the razor saw thing is now handled.
