Thanks for the links Carlos, very interesting reading (and superb builds, it was nice to go back and revisit them) - I found the M46 build especially useful when it came to the individual link tracks, I like how you built them up in short sections - it certainly give me an idea of how to handle them, although I will have the sag to contend with on the Tiger. It was also interesting how you basically assembled the running gear, primed it all black in-situ. and then just added a light coating of the OD over the road wheels keeping it basically all in shadow - and then weathering over the top. I think I might try both methods - the Tiger I might paint with the wheels and the tracks off, and the next build (which will probably be an M4) with everything on.

The M51 is awesome btw - that bloody great gun on the Sherman chassis looks insane.

I have added all the tools etc to the Tiger, I'm just waiting on the PE screens before I add the tow cables. Looking at them fitted, I shouldn't have an issue painting them in place. I also need to figure out paints for the tank commander. :hmm:

Thanks and Cheers!

I've been doing some image searches on Tigers in France - from what I can tell the Germans didn't have much in the way of stowage on these things - more room inside maybe?

A very nice choice, Stuart. (By the way, I've seen that several of my comments did not post on other topics. I think my IPad is dy ing.) With Darth-Carlos you are in good hands.

As far as stowage goes on German armor, aside from North Africa, for the most part, the did tend to carry a lot less than the western Allies AFVs.

Respectfully,

Due to a lack of bench time over the past few weeks I've only made sloooowwww progress on this - however, the hull has now had the PE mesh added and is complete and ready for paint.

The turret and 88mm are only added for effect, they're still being worked on. The barrel needs a bit more seam work and the Turret is about to have it's zimmerit applied, via Tamiya's sticky back sheet.

I did actually give the interior a basic paint job, as I intend to have the TC's hatch open and the Commander painted up and added - so I wanted to give the impression of the interior - but I forgot to take photos before I added the turret top! Here's a view of the underside. I did actually paint the seat cushions as well.

Cheers!
