Beautiful finish, and that canopy is absolutely amazing that it turned out perfect and it’s hand painted and in 1/72! You have an amazing skill with hand painting, cannot wait to see your other builds coming up!
Also CONGRATS on being first to complete a build in the group build!

Thanks guys - I really appreciate it. Asides form the mishap with the gloss on the wings (which thankfully the photo's don't show) I'm really happy with this one - A nice return to modelling I think. It also occurs to me that this is the first piston twin I've completed since I was about 10 which is cool - I think I need to do more!
I've sent Kevin (I hope it's Kevin) the links to the rest of the photo's - Apparently he has plans

Many thanks Joe - you're too kind
spend time painting a few 28mm miniatures and you'll be amazed how it improves your detail painting! (that and getting some
very small brushes!)
To be honest I actually find it harder a lot of the time using masking tape - I always get paint going underneath it. I don't use it for painting the leading edge demarcation either - I just run the side of the brush along it.
They do have their advantages.
Cheers!

I will need to send you my Avenger canopies! Just blown away by how clean your canopy came out!
Build is a beauty! Brave man you are, hand painting takes a skill!
