OWL builds a tank!

Didn't Vance do the old Airfix mk-1 tank? Maybe he has some advice on painting.

Anyway, look like you are of to a quick build of this "target".

I did build one, the old Airfix kit, but just now spotted this build. My only advice would've been to.. .well, to do exactly as Owl did. Camo looks solid to me, well done Owl!! I finished up the actual model, but also wanted to throw down a base of some sort but ended up boxing the tank until I can get my display situation sorted out this year.

Dang. Just when I thought this build was wrapped up she bust out with this neat little base...and in such a short period too...this is going to be hella cool. I think you should do more little bases like these...very creative with the layout and execution.

I just might be making some more little bases, seeing as how much Ive enjoyed working on this one. If you can see in teh back of this picture, Ive got a second base going on....that happened because I made way too much celluclay. Im still getting the hang of this, OK?


The bases take a while to dry though; I poked them this morning and its still squishy.

I had made to much celluclay, and made a second little base. This one got a base coat too.

Well done! One thing - the blue trim around the edge is a bit wrinked....just thought you would want to know.
