the pic without flash shows nicer the contoures of the surface and shows also a better contrast.

Yes, the flash drowns out stuff that you see quite well in the natural light.

Over the past few days I finished the last detail painting on this project.

and today I masked off the area on the bottom of the main hull for the Klingon Insignia, and then painted it

tomorrow I can get a gloss coat on to get this finished up...

Thanks Mark. My intent is to have it ready for this Fridays meet and "Cruise nite" After all it is a Battle Cruiser ;) And the started rules for this month's theme is anything with cruise or cruiser in the description.... :rules:

Actually I've done very little masking on this. Only for the yellow circle on the lower hull and for a hard edge color break on the warp engine nacelles inner face. Everything else is old fashioned free hand brush painting... and not too much coffee in the morning... :giggles:
