Either way sounds good. I really like the graphite idea...portman wrote: Having just drilled out the barrels on the Canon and the MG - I'm just wondering on paint. What do you think this is? I was thinking black base and then gun metal, with maybe a lighter silver drybrush... Or maybe black, gun metal and then brushed with graphite powder?

Maybe not easy to tell - but how does this look?portman wrote:Having just drilled out the barrels on the Canon and the MG - I'm just wondering on paint. What do you think this is? It's matt black with a dry coat of Humbrol #53 Gun metal, Followed by a couple of coats of Citadel's Nuln Oil wash.

Yeah that's what I thought - We haven't had any decent light here all week. I'll see if I can take some better ones over the weekend.

Thanks Joe!
This is where I am now...
I'm going to do the decals next, and then add the last bits, wash, drybrush etc.
I've also got myself a pot of Humbrol #173 'Track Colour' to try out.
Cheers Dudes!

The paintwork looks really good! How did you paint those ”wheels”, did you mask them or just painted carefully the rubber part?
Looks very crispy Stuart!

Looking very sharp there Stuart! All set now for the final touches.
One suggestion on the tracks- after the track color base coat, do a serious amount of the bare metal colors for dry brushing. The desert sand and dust really do scour the track links during driving.
