Thanks, Lyle and Stuart. Somewhat the same report as on the XP-72, fixing stuff I don't want to show, including filling the gun ports in the nose. I used decanted Tamiya AS-12 silver and Hataka C066 Orange Yellow.

That yellow is spot on!! Very similar shade as Aeromaster's Finland I.D. Yellow that I used on mine.
I'll have to remember that color should I run out of Finland I.D. Yellow.

Beautiful indeed! :shoutout:

I like the look of the Tamiya AS-12. I’m gonna have to grab a can sometime and try John Kim’s decanting method.
(of course with my luck, I’ll probably end up looking like the tin woodsman from Wizard of Oz…)

Thanks, guys. Just to note, I edited the post above to change the yellow paint used. I have a lot of Gunze, but on this one it was Hataka C006 Orange Yellow, over Model Master Flat White.

Carlos, John Kim's method would not work for me, but I am left wondering that leaving the straw out of the equation might lessen the amount of entrained propellent. The only way I get the paint into a bottle is because the straw is trapped between the spray nozzle and the inside of the bottle. :whiteflag:

Thanks, Mike.

I could spend another day on this one but as usual it's at the point where I have to give up because my shaky fingers keep breaking bits off. Oh, well, it's been that way since I was 8 or 9. Looks good lined up on the shelf with a yellow wing F4F-3, and FM-2, and an F6F. I didn't paint the back of the props flat black because pictures seemed to indicate that they weren't, but looking at the pictures and seeing how far ahead of the cockpit the props are I'm wondering about that. The props are removable so I can fix that if I choose to.
