I need to take a little time away from the bench. This past Monday, Aug. 26th we had to put down Hopper, our beloved King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. I’m having a hard time concentrating on the bench because of losing my dog. It was sudden and we needed to end his suffering. He was a very loving and sweet boy. Even though he loved us all, my wife knows he was very close and dear to my heart. The pain of not seeing him everyday hurts more than losing my Ragdoll cat back in January of this year. Hopper was 8 1/2 years old. I miss my wingnut too much, I’ve cried so much, my heart aches to see him again. I know I can’t bring him back.

Man, that sucks. Take your time, bro. Even though they're "only" pets, they're nevertheless part of the family. It's hard losing them.
