This looks like fun...yep, sure does. Glad you are up to the challenge, Borg. Should be a nice one.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

I have had very little time for modeling lately but have made some progress.

Here are some pics of the cockpit, all SOB except for PE decals by Eduard. It is all brush painted with Revell and GW acrillics and still needs a wash and some chipping (not much, prototypes did not get much use)

Well, that is due to the good work that Academy did on the cockpit. It is steps ahead of the MPM effort. Keep in mind that this is a very early MPM kit.

I did some more work and glued the fuselage haloves together.

Because of the kit bashin the fit was bad in some parts, espcially the underside. So I glued it in stages, first all the Academy parts, which fit well. Then the nose, fit was ok on the nose. Lastyly the belly, fit is bad, it will need a lot of work to look acceptable. All in all, including drying time, it toke me two days. But the better you glues it together, the less fliier you need.

I say that a lot. There are usually some @#$%^&*( scattered in there as well. looks like you have it under control.
