I hope this isn't too technical....right.
I'm looking for a little spinny thingy, you know goes round and round...A long time ago, Ninetalis (I think) posted a little video of a British gent who modeled, judged, etd. At the end of it He had a little device that he would mount wheels on to paint them. it would go a spinning and he would just hold the brush. Anyone have any ideas?
By the way, the paint shaker device works wonders on paint that isn't dried up.

Lyle, how about using a ball bearing, or a computer fan? Thiose are usually running smooth, and it should be possible to mount a road wheel to them. Maybe using BluTac?

Anything is possible I suppose. I thought of a clock mechanism - the kind you can get at a craft store. No one seems to have smooth movements. They all "tick" the seconds off. It doesn't need to spin very fast. I paint slowly.
Thinking that an old, child's phonograph might work?

How about the little battery powered electric motors that come in some kits? Tamiya makes some for some armor or ship kits to drive them.

also has possibilities. ordered smooth, continuous clock movement today. Not sure that one rpm is enough.

This is a model kit I've been looking for ages. A fun kit going back in the 70s but I'd love to do one again. I've looked everywhere, even eBay. Nada, Ziltch...
The only place I found it is at Model Car Roundup website for.... $119 ?!?!
Nope.

The bike shown on the box reminds me this one could have been issued by Revell Germany way back, too.
Just had a look for it on ScaleMates: it isn´t even listed! So, seems to be VERY rare!

You could use a toothpick, chucked in a drill.

I’ve done something like that.
