Getting there on the Hurricane...

More progress on the Hawk over the weekend. A friend of mine gave me a spare set of sidewinders and rails, but no pylons. So I scratched a pair up.



Starting to get there now - I've since primed them and as you can see in the background here - painted up the U/C.

Looking good Stuart, both the Hawk and the Hurricane.

As a matter of fact Stuart, inspired by your Hurricane build, I opened up my Arma Hobbys 1:72 Hurricane I kit and started to build it in Finnish airforce camo. Have not decided yet which markings I will use, there is two different.

Really nice amount of details, but for a 1/72 scale plane, in my opinion a little bit too complicated cockpit build.
Especially when most of it will disappear when the fuselage is closed.

The instrument panel requires two layers of decals, let's see how that will work out. Had to cut the 1st part in 3 different pieces, to be able to comfort nicely in the very uneven surface of the IP.

That seems to be the way of the world now, we all obviously want as much detail as possible in our 1/72 single engine fighters, even though hardly any of it will be seen once the canopy is on! My new tool Spitfire is just as bad. Two decals for the IP does seen a bit over the top though.

Arma Hurricanes are supposed to be good, although I made a complete hash of mine - I installed the gear bay back to front (or upside down) and the legs didn't go together properly.

I live in the sivvy-lived portion. We drink bourbon! The last time we went down to Loretto KY to the Makers Mark distillery, they had a clear beverage in bottles. Looked like it could hurt you.
