Well, the 247 is far enough along...so here we go.
The decals might be useable...
Pretty basic sprues. It is, after all, a Revell kit.
Not going to bore you with all the sprues. a fair number of parts were loose. Cool color on the plastic. I only have to paint the gray....
Slung some paint and glue
The engine is simply going to be there. Don't want it to be a tail sitter.
Masked the canopy pieces. . .

Lyle, you have a “new” issue of that kit.
The Revell Gustav was first issued in 1969... and that was a retool of their Friedrich kit from 1967... please do note the hand tooled 60’s vintage recessed detail.
You have a classic in your hands. She will build up easy enough for you. Done a couple myself.

Yep. You can tell she ain't a spring chicken. The always present copyright marking on the wing is 1990.

Looking forward to seeing this one Lyle - It's great to see an old classic being built.
So is this an actual Revell kit, or is it a rebox of the Monogram kit?

The copyright marker says Revell, the box says Revell. Would they lie?

Um... Yes!
That's cool - I tend to think that most older 1/48 Revell kits were repops, and not that they are a model company in their own right. I'm looking forward to this - the G has always been a favourite.

The only 1/32 Monogram aircraft kits I remember from pre merger were a Mustang and a Grumman F3F. Revell and Hasegawa were the kings of 1/32 aircraft back in the day.
