I think I may have a spare Spitfire canopy somewhere - if push comes to shove.
I can't put into words how I feel about this build. The detail and love and attention that have gone into it is something else - it's by far the best carrier build I think I've ever seen.

Thank you on both counts Stuart.
I certainly have put a lot of time and money into it. Over 1100 hours and probably that in $.
I'm not concerned about the Spit. I'll get it in the next day or two, or I may just find the clear sprue before that. I'll find it after to be sure.

Re: Modelcrazy's bench production 2021
A little over 300. My Northstar set is stuck at the PO. I should get them today although I think I'll try to finish up the Spit and Helldiver this weekend then back to the figures.
I bought another Spit from HL at 40% off. It came to $6 and some change so it's cheaper than shipping if I were to get an AM canopy. Like I said, the missing parts will show up at some point then I'll have another Mk.1 Spit to build. I've only ever lost one part somewhere in the room and have never found it even after removing everything and replacing the flooring. All other "lost" parts eventually show up....except some very small PE.

A very impressive bunch of figures. Nice work all around, too.

Re: Modelcrazy's bench production 2021
Thanks you Mostrich.
Some work on the Spit and Helldiver. I also received the guys from Northstar so I'll start painting them and begin placing all the crew I have completed on the deck.
The EagleCal decals I used for the Spit are nice, just a tad too thick. But the MicroSet I used seems to help. Maybe one more application.
I've gone and lost the prop for the Helldiver. It can be the last thing to install so I have time to look for it, otherwise I suppose a prop from a Wildcat or something would work, if I can fine a sacrificial kit.

Steve if you can't find prop. I have a spare from the Hasegawa Dauntless. Would that work?

Possibly John.
I've been looking at my stash and the only one I can come up with is the Wildcat, which I want to build someday. I'm looking for inexpensive kits on eBay but just can't justify the cost for a propeller. If I can't find it by the time I complete it and stop looking I may just take you up on it. I have the upper wing on and neet to touch up the paint where the interplane struts attach but otherwise it's on to the decals. The gear on this is VERY delicate. No a bad kit for Heller though. Should go with the Sparrowhawk I did about 7 years ago.

Re: Modelcrazy's bench production 2021
The Spits done.
Spitfire Mk.1 P9363 QV-K Flown by Sqn Ldr B Lane, OC No 19 Sqn, September 1940, Battle of Brittain. The aircraft survived the war with two different pilots.
P9386 QV-K was Struck of Charge 9 Feb 1945. Sqn Ldr Lane's Log Books are lodged with the Imperial War Museum London.
I put the pilot in because I was going to display her in the air first.
