After black base I painted the wood with Tamiya XF-52. That was a nice project to tinker with my new Infinity airbrush.
The hull red is a mix of games workshop Scorched brown and Blood red. Painted by hand because I had no idea how to mask the wood work. The red between the planks was done with a 10/0 brush, very tedious but I like the result.
Next step: glos coat for washes and decals.

The gloss coat is on. I used Future thinned with Gunze self levelling thinner. That all went on pretty easy. However, I noticed that the fuselage came undone for the second time! I think my Micro Weld is to old or something like that. I am not really sure how to fix it...

Duct tape should hold it.

Try masking the area, apply a thin bead of CA, the sand and paint? Maybe?

And looking at the pictures it thought: “where are the floats?”

I forgot the gloss coat the floats.

Yeah a seaplane without floats just isn't going to work...

Sorry to hear about your seam, this is a blooming pain when that happens - I'm sure you'll get it sorted!

Tamiya might be the king of plastic but their decals suck. At least these do, they are brittle and will not conform to the surface of the model. What is worse, after using MicroSol the fogged! And still did no conform. So I will get out the thinner and try that.
