Looking good Borg! Hard to give modulation effects to the darker shades.

Yes, that is certainly true. I did the light grey coat (Tamiya XF-11) and it went much better.
Secondly I airbrushing more often so my skills are returning.

Very nice airbrush work! I agree that it takes practice and use to build up an effective airbrush technique.

Another step in the proces, the beaching dolly.

After black base I painted the wood with Tamiya XF-52. That was a nice project to tinker with my new Infinity airbrush.
The hull red is a mix of games workshop Scorched brown and Blood red. Painted by hand because I had no idea how to mask the wood work. The red between the planks was done with a 10/0 brush, very tedious but I like the result.
Next step: glos coat for washes and decals.
