Wow, that Minibase kit is insane! I may actually have to get a Russian jet!

Wow! Is that 1/72?

This J-15 and SU-35 are commission builds (BIG SU-27 is for me). Also have Trumpeters 1/72 SU-27 and 33 for future commission jobs.
Working on these got me wanting some Russian stuff for myself. So far, I've picked up an SU-24(DML), SU-25(Zvezda/Italeri), SU-34(platypus looking Flanker...Italeri) and a Yak-130(Zvezda)...all in 1/72. Have had Eduards 1/48 SU-27 for a while.

Looks great Fermis! I wonder how those Chinese made Flankers stack up compared with the Russian made ones? :hmm:

I did read that the engines aren't as good...and if I remember correctly, the J-15 (SU-33) was reverse engineered, from an engineless airframe that
China "acquired"...while others are "licensed". I could be wrong about that though.

One thing I can tell you...this kit is a Chinese knock-off of a Chinese knock-off!!!

Brilliant work on that one! Way to go; it looks magnificent!
I had to laugh at that model being a "Chinese knock-off of a Chinese knock-off"!

You are correct. The Chinese did reverse engineer the jets but can't for the like of them, they can't do the engines. They're using a very old designed (and reverse engineered) engine in just about everything! Including their so called "stealth fighters".

Yes we do.....and quickly. From everything I'm reading and hearing, things are very tense in the Pacific. China is making moves to retake Taiwan back. They've been training realistically at attacking them and our carriers in the last month or so.
