M47 Patton, 5th ID Germany, Patton Project Pt.2
Re: M47 Patton, 5th ID Germany, Patton Project Pt.2
This just keeps getting better and better
March as one, Don't look back
Odin's sons... Attack!
Unleash hell! Do not repent! Warfare grants us no lament
Let your weapons slash and tear This is no place for fear
Hold the lines! Move as one! In unity our victory's won
Our shields will form a mighty wall
United we shall never fall
Odin's sons... Attack!
Unleash hell! Do not repent! Warfare grants us no lament
Let your weapons slash and tear This is no place for fear
Hold the lines! Move as one! In unity our victory's won
Our shields will form a mighty wall
United we shall never fall

Thank you Clint. I’ve scratch built or detailed up drivers compartments, turrets, troop compartments, etc. . But this is the first time that I’ve ever dressed up an AFV or softskin engine beyond what came in the box.

Carlos! I saw Clint’s response yesterday and thought “I completely agree with him!” Now today I still feel the same way. Way to embellish and create a much more realistic model! Congratulations!Floki wrote:This just keeps getting better and better

Bruce and John, thanks. That engine has been a learning experience. It’s just taking far longer than I thought it would... as usual.

Thanks Mike. Just one last bit to add in there then I can start on the paint.

So today I finished the final bits of work in the engine compartment. Using a jeep engine, I turned it into a two cylinder auxiliary motor
then I added the lead line for it, and the compartment fixed fire extinguisher nozzle and feed line
so now the power pack has gone from this
to this
painting to take place over the next few days...

Another masterpiece! This really looks sharp!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Great detailing, all from scratch or kitbashed Very cool indeed!
