Jim Cushman Dirt Track Dart

Post by Dragline »

Not sure why i don't seem to have a pic with the hood open. I'll dig around a bit.

This is a reissue by AMT some years ago. I have it with a post race look with some weathering pigments. Plug wires, fuel line, battery cable, opened trunk and post race dirt. A little rubbing on the tire lettering since rubbin is racin!

I did the recent release of this one a couple years ago. That was a lot of work and not sure if I got all 4 wheels on the ground but love the car. The re-release came with the tiny model kit box - super fun.

Beautiful job John. I gotta say I was surprised at how easy the decals were to work with. I was prepared for the worst and they just kinda went on so nicely.

I made about 8 of those boxes up to that point and i just said the heck with it and threw all the ones I have gotten since into a folder. maybe some day I'll put them together. They are neat though.

I made the bracket for the bungee cord that holds the hood down. i made the part for the bumper as well. I just never got around to making the cord. I'll fix that at some point.
