SEPECAT Jaguar GR.1 (Airfix 1/48)

Post by Stuart »

Well if you get knocked down, get up again - so I pulled something out of the stash...

Image

I've had this kit for ages, as it's one of my favourite British Cold War jets, I've just never got around to building it. I actually have a GR.3 kit, but I swapped my GR.3 decals for somebody else's GR.1 sheet - as I wanted to do the 70's/80's wrap-a-round camo.

Here's were I was - just some badly painted parts. I also seem to be missing the control column. :hmm:

Should be fun - I need to do something to take my mind away from all this moving crap.

Cheers!

:hmm: Nice! Gotta love the Jag! A very sleek & sexy looking strike aircraft.

The look meanest in the wrap around camo :ballbat:

Agreed, you'll be pleased to know that is the scheme I'll be going for!

Nice! I've yet to build one.

I think this is a pretty basic kit, but the Kittyhawk one should be nice.

Nice!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Thanks Lyle.

Nothing much to report yet - just freshening up the black paint in the cockpit before decals. I also need to sort out some belts and a new control stick.

Stuart, this will be fun to follow! I've always admired the Jaguar; I first learned of it and the Tornado via Tom Clancy's "Red Storm Rising" novel. I would really love to have one in my display cabinet. And one like this would do very nicely! I look forward to seeing more dude! :shoutout:
