Re: Hairless Joe...

Sweet! I love it! I started a Tamiya 1/72 scale Jug before. I never quite got past the cockpit for some reason....

That is one sweet bird. Way to go. Well done tackling the rigging too. I have a little F4-B4 I'm gonna try to rig. I can only hope it turns out as well as yours.

Most impressive! I have built almost every 1/72 scale aircraft kit that you have too and I love seeing how much better you did on yours. What great memories you've brought back for me. Way to go. Looking forward to seeing more!

Re: Tenax 7R

Tamiya extra thin is excellent. I use that when I need a good bead and the parts are small enough that I don't need a heavy bond. Then I use Testor's orange tube glue. For liquid glues, I always use Tamiya Extra Thin.

Re: 1/72 Sopwith Camel

Vance, Duke is fine. You did an outstanding job on that little Camel. I especially like the wood grain effect. Very well done. It was nice to see the little guys checking her out and mugging for the camera as well. You have a model to be proud of.

Thanks BSY. The truck is from Roden. They make a whole line of WWI-era Mack trucks. I'm trying to get the whole line.

Thanks Carlos. That is certainly a main reason for keeping my consistency in this scale.

Re: Numbers 649, 650, and 651 Completed.

Thanks Carlos! I think I already do have both the M-1069 and the UH-60 already built. I've even started a Night Hawk as well, although I don't think they are used for hauling these around. Yes, all of these are coming out tonight. Thanks Borgman! I'm also a bit burned out on all the WWII stuff being...

Re: San Diego Model Show

Yeah, I was a bit disappointed that Dora didn't place. I was hoping for a clean sweep of all SoCal contests with Dora. Oh well, I'll be missing the Ontario show anyway. so maybe I can take her back next year.....unless she places at the Nationals in Columbus! In a way, I'm not surprised; the San Die...

San Diego Model Show

I went with a friend of mine at the beginning of this month with Dora and nine other models. Dora didn't place at all, but I did take a Second Place for my Hobby Boss 1/72 scale Br-86 Locomotive: http://www.the-lem.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10036/SD_Second_Place_2014.jpg That was quite the surpris...
