Re: Empire of the Rising Sun Group Build

Well, I am at the 99.9% done point now... I still need to add an antenna wire tomorrow once the antenna mast is fully dry in place, and some dirt on the wheels. https://i.postimg.cc/jjNwz4NP/IMG-9674.jpg after I add those things, I'll get the usual multi angle photos up in the proper completed foru...

Re: RSOV AMPS 12 Hour Build

Yesterday was the final 4 hour Zoom session for this 12 Hour build challenge and I was able to get this kit completed at around the 3 1/2 hour mark... https://i.postimg.cc/HsXcC9sV/IMG-9660.jpg I will get a full multi view series of photos up in awhile in the completed section... ;) Very impressive...

Re: 1/200 Hasegawa 787-8

This was a beautiful kit that I took super sideways. All on me - bit of a train wreck but finished it rather than binned it. Decals are from DRAW - really liked the livery but botched the build. Don't look too close :headslap: I had issues with Tamiya gloss black behaving poorly - maybe too hot in ...

Chris, that seatbelt looks great! You could do all types of harnesses it looks like! I wonder how that printing would work for the canvas & webbing seats in choppers? :hmm:
Not sure Carlos -- Do you have a picture handy?

Re: Empire of the Rising Sun Group Build

Continuing to be surprised by what you can do with only a Filament 3D printer and a .2 mil nozzle. Seatbelts anyone? I printed it flat and then press formed it to the seat contour. Thought the PLA plastic would snap, but it was so thin that I was able to bend it... https://i.postimg.cc/xCYZdrZ3/2024...

Re: Latest Acquesitions - pt.3

I have always loved Wildcats. I like the center wing design and the underdog story of the plane. It held the line in the Pacific until the Hellcat and F4U arrived. After seeing Paul Boyer's build of this kit, I had to pick a few up. Such beautiful plastic inside these boxes! https://i.postimg.cc/wxQ...

Great Work John! Very nice Zeros. That training Zeke is strangely appealing after seeing it built up!
