Re: Revell 1/144 Hellcat and Tempest
I am currently on holiday in Normandy. And today we visited the V-1 site at Val Ygot. The Tempest was one of the planes used to intercept V-1’s. So that was a nice link with my current build. https://i.postimg.cc/Pf7JLVBK/IMG-0719.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/C59xWdj9/IMG-0720.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/k...

Re: Revell 1/144 Hellcat and Tempest
Yea, reading glasses, I am still getting used to mine A little update. I have decals for only one Tempest (can’t complain for 1 euro). So one Tempest is going to be in RAF colours. And the other one in captured German markings. The so called Zirkus Rosarius used several captured allied planes for tr...

Re: Kinetic Gold IA 58 Pucara
Firstly, get well soon!
And secondly, I just got the same Super Metallic paint. Looks like they are as good as I hoped.
Lastly, I really love the Pucara. I have the Special Hobby kit so I will use this tread as reference.

Wonderful work on a wonderful kit. And Indian colours will be a nice variation. You don’t see that very often.

Revell 1/144 Hellcat and Tempest
I have been very busy lately and building some very simple Revel mini kits to get back into the groove. I recently bought a Hellcat and two Tempests for two euros. One of the Tempests is missing a canopy so I am going to heat smash two new ones. I will use the canopy of the complete kits as a mould....

Re: Ark Models Mig-3
Very nice save on the short shot wings. I love the MiG-3 but I don't have the ICM kit. Quality control seems a bit of a problem. Maybe I should keep the Trumpeter kit on my list...

Re: Just Experimenting... AKA My 3D Dreams
That looks great. But also a whole new skill set to acquire. 3d printing is rapidly changing the after market manufacturers. Cool that you are working on your own 3d stuff.

Re: Vintage kits..
Some times you find the best deals in the weirdest places. I bought a few second hand kits at a flea market for a few euro's, or picked up new Revell Starwars kits at the local discounter. It never hurts to keep your eyes open for those hidden deals and treasures.
