Re: Airfix Artist Roy Cross has passed away
That is lovely artwork, I have some boxes of that age. And to live to a hundred, what more could a man ask for? Rest in peace Roy and thanks for making so many of us enthusiastic about modelling and history trough your artwork.

Re: Revell 1/144 Hellcat and Tempest
The Tempests are done. A lot fun for the one euro that I paid. They are a bit toyish but that is to be expected for such old and small kits. https://i.postimg.cc/Tw16xb8x/IMG-0765.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/8crgJVPn/IMG-0766.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/KzWy8YFM/IMG-0767.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/V5QQXHJs/...

Re: Revell 1/144 Hellcat and Tempest
Decals on the captured Tempest. Markings are from the spare box and in all honesty “approximations”. They do have to be oversized but some are to big. For instance de white T9. The Balkenkreuzen under the wing are supposed to be unaligned. Weird but that is what the sources say. https://i.postimg.cc...

Re: Revell 1/144 Hellcat and Tempest
The Hellcat and one Tempest have their decals. These are the Revell decals. Good quality, nothing to complain about. The second Tempest will have a hodgepodge of decals for its Zirkus Rosarius markings. https://i.postimg.cc/7LYLbt6D/IMG-0746.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/XYgJj6nQ/IMG-0748.jpg https://i.p...

Re: Iwata NEO Dual Action airbrush
My first airbrush was a Badger 200. Worst of both worlds, single action but internal mix. So the hassle of cleaning an internal mix with the control of single action. :headslap: I then upgraded to a HS Ultra, bullet proof build quality, reasonable price and nice control. Easy to clean to. Nowadays I...

Re: Revell 1/144 Hellcat and Tempest
Is there a tutorial you could steer me towards for push molding canopies? Sure. What I do a very basic, use the old canopy as a mould. Put some clear plastic on a frame (the smaller/precise the the cut out out is the better the result). Heat the clear plastic over a flame (like stretching sprue you...
