Re: Eduard 1/48 Hawker Tempest II

First class looking build John! That is absolutely gorgeous work! Right down to the pig tail electrical connectors for the rockets! Simply outstanding.

Re: Empire of the Rising Sun Group Build

A major milestone reached today... flat coat on and masking removed...

I have a few more detail items to paint and some others to glue on... as things stand right now I ought to have it wrapped up over this holiday weekend

Re: Happy Victoria Day!

Sounds good Mikey! I saw a couple of CF-18s here at Luke AFB during their Open House & Air Show back in March. It looks like at least one passed thru a gunnery range before being put on display…

Re: Empire of the Rising Sun Group Build

Thanks Kari. These sludge washes won’t come in too handy on my armor builds, but for aircraft, they are just what I needed! The simplicity of making them up, application, and removal is hard to beat.

Re: Happy Victoria Day!

Well, all of our orders are processed thru the HQ in Toronto, so if those folks are off there, no orders some thru for us. Having the US holidays off is just the right thing to do for them. Of course they are not paid holidays, but I’m not complaining. 😉

Re: Empire of the Rising Sun Group Build

Thanks Mike! Since my last update, I hit the un cooperative upper left wing Hinomaru that was pointed out to me earlier, with a couple doses of Micro Set and got it to snuggle down properly https://i.postimg.cc/ry3K9dF9/IMG-9645.jpg Then this afternoon I made up a homemade sludge wash and applied it...

Re: 1/48 Hasegawa A-4M Skyhawk

Well, the Skyhawk was designed to fit on a Midway or Essex Class aircraft carrier elevator without needing folding wings. The Prowler on the other hand is an enlarged version of the Intruder, and definitely needs to have folding wings to fit on any carrier elevator… 🤨
