Trumpter 1:48 scale Uboat
Ok, I went full nutzo and picked up the new 1:48 scale Uboat by Trumpeter. So right now this is a first impression review and not a WIP. To say that it is a big kit does not do it justice. The decals took a week.and am still fighting some of them as they refuse to lay suck down to the textured surface of the model.

Thomas, if you look at the first picture you can see the layering for the printer on the parts. The acetone vapor bath is what smoothed it out. Catch word being vapor. If I had dunked the print into acetone for two hours I would have ended up with a pile of ABS plastic at the bottom of the tub. Not ...

Very cool! How much does a 3D printer run? And what sort of material do you use in it to create things? It depends on what kind you want and how much you're willing to spend. I've seen some go anywhere from $350 and upwards to thousands of dollars. Materials for 3D printing can get pretty pricey as...
