Re: Paint properties reaction question.

Alclad's black base microfiller is really good stuff. I love it, but it goes fast as a primer. It's super thin and lends itself perfect as a base, for which it is designed. I also agree with the Alclad black you mentioned, it takes forever to dry, I mean FOREVER. So, it's not fun to work with.

LOL, yes it is. I looked at it and my brain went "oh, nice Mig-23" and that was all the thought I gave it. Derp!!! The Tornado is awesome too.

Re: Portman Productions 2020

Thanks Mark! I certainly overloaded myself a bit recently :hmm: I think I may have to back off on a few until progressed some of the others... That being said - even though some of the glue is still wet along with some of the paint - I had to share this with you all. My first completed modern jet i...

Re: Maddog Manufacturing 2020 Production

Good Lord, I thought I had a lot of kits going at once. I'm a rookie compared to what you have rolling at the moment. Some really cool stuff in there too. Very nice.

Re: My recent builds

Very nice looking collection there. I really need to add that P-38 to the stash and the Ki-45 also. Not enough hours in the day for the whole stash to ever get built. But, it's fun finding and buying also.

Two new Spitfires added to my collection

I finished these a few weeks back. The PR XIX is from Airfix and is a wonderful kit. I built it "in flight" as I've run out of room on the shelves. At least until we move. The other is an Italeri rebox of an older kit. It wasn't too bad overall, still a nice Spit. It is done up as a US use...
