Re: Empire of the Rising Sun Group Build
Tamiya has gotten a lot of mileage from that Frank, apparently they are still releasing it, John. It will be interesting to see how it goes. I can say that this A6M3 Type 22 I am starting on has nothing whatever to do with the Tamiya A6M2 I did before, which dated from the same time as the Frank. It...

Another two of a series in 1/72 I am doing on Ed Heinemann's designs. The SBD was fun except for shoehorning in a True Details resin interior which is for the most part invisible, though if you look real hard you might see the much nicer gunner's twin mount machine guns under the closed rear canopy....

1/48 Zvezda Bf 109F-2
Been working on this one for a while, I am surprised at how good the fit is, especially since there is such thin parts and so many of them. We will see how well the engine lines up and the cowl fits, though the plan is to keep the engine opened up. Model Master 74/75/76 and Hataka Gelb. http://golde...

Close enough, Lyle. Once they have been overhauled close enough is close enough.

Re: A couple of Turkeys from Turkey
Stuart, unbelievably there is no such animal in 1/72, the same state of affairs that exists for the T-37. But in the case of the T-38 there are several in 1/48 and the resin Collect-Aire kit in 1/32. There is no T-37 save the old Strombecker/Aurora 1/43 scale kit. Hasegawa has released their A-37 bo...

Re: What's on your work bench atm ?
Thanks, John. My engines will likely never pass muster with those in the know. All that damn chrome plating is horrible. Adds nothing. It is already a beige, probably not the Cummins shade, but it is what Tractor Supply had! Lyle https://www.seymourpaint.com/product/en-73-seymour-hi-tech-engine-ena...
