66 hours is light for the post office isnt it? Rain hail or shine, broken ribs and black eyes, the mail always gets through?

I love the P-61. Its been one of my favorites since i was a kid.

I feel for his family. His wife and daughter are in to racing too (His youngest has ice in her veins, its scary to watch)

I can imagine the pilot fighting the control to bring it back under control only to have it all ripped out of his hands as hes fire involuntarily out the bay windows.

Just watched an interesting little video speculating that when the aircraft touched down, the vanes over the lift fan closed to prevent it from lifting off again, but because it bounced the main engine thought it was still flying so throttled up automatically. I was reading something over the weekend saying this particular aircraft hadnt been released to the military yet? It was still in possession of Lockheed Martin undergoing its final hover tests.
