Re: What's on your work bench atm ?

Kyle, the engine is an 855 Cummins, the big oil cooler would suggest it is a 350 or 400 horsepower version. Why they have the water manifold attached to the rocker arm cover is a mystery to me. The "filter" next to it is just an oil breather with a mesh screen inside and it does belong on ...

Re: A couple of Turkeys from Turkey

Sorry for your troubles and hope things get better soon for your wife, Stuart. I recommend finding yourself a nice Tamiya 1/72 fighter. I fear you are going to find a lot of not simple between the start and finish of a PM kit. The belly is deeper on the F-5 than on the T-38 as well, to accommodate a...

Looks like a pretty early Hasegawa kit.

Re: A&A Models 1/72 Basler BT-67

I have the A&A King Air 200 in 1/72 and the Yak-23UTI in 1/48. In the box I would say they are high end limited run. The 200 looks great for accuracy and that's an airplane I know pretty well. I understand they are related to Modelsvit. I hope they fit better that what I have heard about Modelsv...

Re: Empire of the Rising Sun Group Build

I do have the a, b, and c variants, one of my Hasegawa Type 52's has the parts for the a and b and I have a Tamiya kit for the c. Not too sure the S with the oblique cannon has been kitted, but I think it was a field modification of an a or b and I will give up trying to do all the field mods! Also,...

Re: Ark Models Mig-3

Nice save, Tom. I have 5 of the ICM MIG 3 kits in case anyone here just has to have one, three kit numbers, 48051, 48051, and 48025. All but the one ending in one have several figures in them. I think at one time they were as cheap as the first ICM Spitfires. I haven't built any of them yet so I don...

Re: Empire of the Rising Sun Group Build

Thanks, everyone for all the nice comments. Still have the A6M3 type 22, A6M5, A6M7, and A6M8 to go in 1/48.

Re: Empire of the Rising Sun Group Build

Chris, I don't think there is any right way to do it but it wasn't too bad with the floats on, other than being careful to not knock off the tip floats. Here are a couple of near finished pictures. I want to finish up the Kubota tractor so it can be in the final photos with the Rufe, and I want to w...
