OK, off and running, nothing started, just opening my build. I am building this
I will be doing her in The Good Widow Mrs. Jones markings. I have actual images of the real bird obtained from one of her pilots. Here is the actual nose art, from when he flew her.

Nice! Those are great, iconic aircraft....love 'em.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..
Re: Kitty Hawk 1/48 UH-1D Huey
Nice! Will be interesting to see how accurate this kit is. As iconic as the Huey no kit manufacturer seems to get everything right about her.

One area the Kitty Hawk kit gets wrong is the scissors/push pull tubes on the rotor head. Will have to figure out how to correct it. I'll try to post pics of what I mean later. Oh, BTW, not a gunship, troop transport. The only country to use the D/H as a gunship was Australia.

The ARVN also used the long cabin Hueys as gunships.midnightprowler wrote:One area the Kitty Hawk kit gets wrong is the scissors/push pull tubes on the rotor head. This will be a good one to follow...
