I hope that a few seconds of heat from my heat gun will be enough to straighten the warp out without harming the surface.

So a friend is planning on building a vacuum former in the spring that means I can make a new canopy for this. Plus with the extreme warp in the body I've decided to put this one back in the box with just a few of the pieces glued until the spring. I got a ton of night fighters to choose from for this GB. Lyle you can delete this thread if you want so not to clutter up this GB page.

Bummer. What is the canopy issue? I’ll have to check my kit for warpage.

The canopy was cracked right out of the box and kitty hawk wanted $15+shipping for a new one. I figured I could get a vacuum formed one for that price. I haven't found any and now kitty hawk filled bankruptcy and can't get a new one from them now

Are you building a twin seat F-101B, like the box shows, or a single seat RF-101A/C? If you’re not doing a single seater, perhaps you can get a canopy off of one of the Revellogram F-101B kits.

Bummer on the canopy. Poking around, the best I found was this on ebay. With the canopy open might work just fine. $21 and free shipping - pricy for a canopy
