The priming looks good. Did you use a purpose made primer, or just plain old black paint?

Very cool Mike, it's great to see all of these progressing.

Thanks guys!

Stik, it's Badger's Stynylrez primer.

How do you like Stynlrez? I've been hearing they're a bear to work with. Some good, some bad experiences from other users. I'm reluctant to try it.

It’s supposed to be the same as AK One Shot Primer. If that is so, the stuff is really good. I’ve used the AK stuff on a few projects and once it’s dried and cured overnite, it is tough as nails. No muss or fuss mixing, just put it in your airbrush and spray away. Just be sure to clean up thoroughly afterwards.

It's always dried super quick for me. The two Super Hornets that I primed, I would prime the fronts of both and when that was done, it was completely dry enough to hold it and spray the rear areas.

So I was able to get the metal areas painted. But in the process of cleaning the airbrush, I lost the tip/nozzle. It's a Badger Renegade Krome. I had no idea that the tip/nozzle is NOT screwed into the airbrush like they are on my Iwatas. Had to order a new one. :headbang:

Ah, that's a bugger that is - I hope a replacement wasn't too expensive Mike.

No it wasn't. The airbrush is fixed now.
