This weekend is the Boise IPMS show. I'm hoping to have at least 4 builds to enter into the show, maybe 5. My problem is that I'm running out of time, and I have nobody to blame but myself. I've got several kits to about the 95-98% of the way completed and then moved onto another kit. I always tell myself, "oh, its just a couple small decals and a final clear coat..." Then I open another kit and start down the path and don't ever get back to full completion.
Tonight, tomorrow morning and tomorrow night will be marathon bench-time.
Kits on the bench to complete by Saturday morning:
1/48 Tamiya A-1 Skyraider - USS Midway
1/48 Tamiya F-14D 'Grim Reapers'
1/48 ZM F-4D 389th Gunfighters
1/48 Hasegawa E/A-18G joint USN Whidbey Island - Mt. Home AFB 390th Electronic Combat Squadron
1/72 GWH Su-35S 'Red 03'
I'll try to get pics of the ones I get finished and post them up.
Lots to finish before Boise IPMS show, not a lot of time...

That’s right! Get on it mister! (Note to self, Modelzona is less than a month away- begin similar efforts!)

Re: Lots to finish before Boise IPMS show, not a lot of time
Thanks all! I got quite a bit done last night when I got home from work. I got up early today and got about 3 more hours in before I came to work and made more progress. As soon as I get home tonight, I've already warned the wife, I will be confined to the model room with tunes blaring.
Fortunately, most of what needs done is just small finish detailing. But when you add that across 5 models, it does take some time. Now, hopefully I wont put Vietnam era dumb-bombs on my F-14D and AIM-54C's on the Phantom. I doubt the IPMS judges would have the same sense of humor.

Accuracy is not supposed to be an IPMS judging criteria…
Get some rest to sharpen up before you become an ordie hanging stuff on your builds…

Don't feel bad. I think all of us that enter kits at a show are always doing last minute details. Happens to me all the time.

Re: Lots to finish before Boise IPMS show, not a lot of time
So, quick update. I was able to get three kits completed for the show. Finished the Tamiya F-14D, Hasegawa E/A-18G and the Tamiya A-1H Skyraider. Ended up being a decent show. I'd like to give a hat's off to Modelcrazy for his Akagi and his Tamiya Swordfish.
