Let's see your aircraft aftermarket decals!

Post by BlackSheep214 »

I decided to start a thread specifically on aftermarket aircraft decals. Let's see yours!

Looks like I'll be building my own Viper pit with these decal sets. Careful.... just don't drool or you'll get bit. :giggles:

I will doing 3 Viper kits for these decal sets. All Belgian AF Commemorative Markings...

The one on the right is the other decal option from the Hobby Boss kit I'm currently working on. I'm willing to part with it if anyone is interested.

These will be done together late this year. The Viper commemorates George Preddy's Cripes A' Mighty. I had to grab this one.

Other AM decals... non-Viper markings.

Blue-Nosed Bastards of Bodney Part 4 of 6

Eurofighter Typhoon and Rafale C special markings decal sets...

I do have a couple more but most likely they're in kit boxes they're going to used on. I'll post up those later.

To be honest, I can’t remember. :bag: I keep file list on my PC of what kit I need to get for each aftermarket decal set. I know I have a few already in my stash for some of them. :lashed:
There is a Eurofighter Typhoon Kit I need to get another because the kit has two awesome decals for two different schemes.

I find most of these great decal sets from a dedicated eBay seller - Scott’s Model Workshop.
(rebelalpha is the seller)

Well, I’m not one for commemorative markings on my builds, so my AM decal sheets are for line aircraft. But I also have some armor decal sheets scattered in here as well, so I’ll start with one of those as it’s the oldest set on my PostImage account.

Image

Then for aircraft I’ll start with my oldest set for those here...

and for the F7U in my stash...

I don’t want to hog this thread, having many more sets, so next...

No worries Carlos. Let's see them. Some of those decals are colorful too.

Very cool idea for a thread!

I always liked the Hungarian schemes of WWII planes. As part of the Axis Powers they owned mostly German and some Italian material.

In 1962 my hometown Hamburg fell victim to a storm flood that killed 340 people and made 10,000 homeless. Many more would have died if not the mayor had called the German Marines for helicopter support (the US Army was also there to help with similar Sikorskys - see pic below). They rescued hundreds of people from the roofs of their houses. I own a decal set and the matching kit to depict one of those machines.
